Horace Mann Neighborhood

The Horace Mann neighborhood, which became part of Fargo before 1949, is home to two National Register Historic Districts. Predominantly residential, this area is bordered to the south by Fargo’s downtown and to the east by the Red River, offering access to some of the region’s most beloved trails, parks, and recreational fields. The Oak Grove school campus and park areas are located in the southeast corner of the neighborhood, further enhancing the area’s appeal. The Horace Mann Area Neighborhood Association plays an active role in the community. Named after the historic Horace Mann Elementary School, established in 1915, this charming neighborhood provides a mix of historic character, outdoor recreation, and community involvement.
